Tanveer defended himself by saying, “My level, thank God, I am a test cricketer.” However, the anchor has clarified that he was not insulting Tanveer’s career, but his opinion does not match the current results, as Sirj’s performance speaks for himself in the ongoing test series.
In the clip, Asif Khan can be heard saying, “What is your standard? A man is taking wickets in England, and you are saying that he is not a Test match bowler. Then what is your standard?” To which, Tanveer said, “You are saying that I have no standard. I have a standard of Pakistan.”
The anchor said, “I did not mean that you have no standard. I am talking according to the standard of performance. And Siraj is doing a great job at this time in the test.”
