The Asia Cup 2025 super four clashes between India and Pakistan in Dubai were everything. From oral spat to controversial fakhar Zaman call among the players, India-Pakistan clash lived for campaigning, but green men failed to match men in Blue’s excellence.
After India’s six-wicket victory in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Games, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga expressed concern over Fakhar Zaman’s early dismissal. And now, Pakistan cricket team management took a expected route against the third umpire.
Fakhar Zaman’s controversial dismissal gave rise to the latest controversy in Asia Cup 2025
The drama began on the third ball of the third over, when Fakhar tried an offset shot against Hardik Pandya’s off-Catter, but became a thin on the side of the outside.
The ball flew directly to Indian wicketkeeper Sanju Samson, who dives and caught it at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This catch looked very close to Turf, which forced the on-field umpire to refer to the third umpire, Ruchira Paliaguruga.

At this time only two camera angles were available, the decision was difficult, but the third umpire ruled Fakhar after seeing it from several angles. Fakhar was surprised after returning to the pavilion, and the verdict immediately disrupted Pakistan’s early batting pace.
The dismissal triggered an intense debate, in which Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, and Misbah-ul-Haq questioned the decision of the third umpire, saying that despite the footage, it was clearly shown that Sanju Samson’s gloves were stationed under the ball, the catch was confirmed.

Salman Ali Aga Question Fakhar Zaman’s dismissal
Meanwhile, Salman Ali Aga expressed his disappointment on Fakhar’s wicket. The Pakistan captain questioned whether the ball could bounce before reaching the Indian wicketkeeper, saying that the Third umpire’s possible mistake spent him valuable runs in the powerplay.
Salman Ali Aga said in the post -match presentation, “I really don’t know about this decision. As far as I was concerned, I thought it had jumped before it was taken to the keeper. The umpire could make mistakes, and I have no problem with it.

Salman Ali Aga says that Fakhar Zaman could take Pakistan close to 190
Salman felt that if Fakhar continued batting through the initial overs, Pakistan pushed its total to around 190. He admitted that the mistakes were on the field, but were convinced that the possibility of the ball had jumped only in front of the keeper.
He signed, saying, “But I can not be wrong. I don’t know. You can say that the way he was batting, if he batted in the powerplay, we probably scored around 190. Of course, there were some bai and errors, and there are mistakes. I think it could only be wrong in front of the keeper, but again, I could have wrong.”
In particular, Pakistan will take Sri Lanka in a super force match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 23 September. Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan are under pressure, losing their first four games for Bangladesh and India respectively.
