Former Indian chief selector Chris Srikanth has carried out a blistering attack on the Pakistan National Cricket Team and his head coach Mike Hessen in Dubai on Sunday, 21 September on Sunday, September 21, the Asia Cup 2025.
Surprisingly, Srikanth compared Pakistan to the seventh-division side in a local Chennai League as he highlighted his poor performance against India in his group match last week. In particular, Pakistan struggled to match India’s intensity in both batting and bowling, in which Suryakumar Yadav took men in blue for a seven -wicket victory on 14 September.

Pakistan should not play with main teams: Chris Srikanth
Chris Srikanth said in a video on his YouTube channel, “It’s a big thing for him that he is allowed to play in such a prestigious tournament. Mike Hessen will return with his statements on how he is a very good team and he was unpleasant in the last match against India.
Srikanth claimed that Pakistan is no longer a real threat to India and the famous India-Pakistan rivalry disappears. He suggested that Pakistan should be taken to the associate nations level and the future will no longer attract the crowd with India.
He added, “While moving forward, they should not play with the main teams. They should be brought between Associate Nations and some others here. Pakistan should be removed from the top seven. From here, India-Pakistan matches will not attract the crowd. India-Pakistan has become rival history.

Andy Picroft India vs Pakistan for Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Match
Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) nominated Andy Picroft as a match referee for the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 21 September, Sunday.
The decision a few days later, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expressed concern about Pycroft’s conduct during a group-stage match between the two sides on 14 September.
Despite the controversy, the ICC has shown full confidence by giving charge of one of the biggest games of the tournament in Pacroft.
While India is entering the struggle as an unbeaten side, Pakistan won two tight games against the UAE and Oman and made it in the Super 4S of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
