Pakistan Cricket Board is now busy in energizing the crowd by resorting to ridicule against India. In their latest promotional video, they have brought back the handshake line.
Pakistan will host Australia for a white-ball series ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. This series is set to help Australia get a feel for subcontinent-like pitches and hand Pakistan a preparation series against one of the most dominant teams in the world.
In an effort to generate hype for the series, the PCB has released a promotional video for the series, announcing the return of the Australian team to Australian soil. Pakistan is affected by the decreasing fans and hence is aiming to turn the tables by defaming India.
The Pakistan and Australia series ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup has been finalised, and will see the mighty Australians play three T20I matches against the Asian giants from January 29. The series will end on February 1.
PCB has released a promotional video, which gives a deep insight into the culture of the country and how the game has spread across the streets and alleys of the country. Another big issue has been emphasized in the video.
As Australian tourists were shown strolling through the streets of Pakistan, the locals welcomed them with great joy. This was an illustration of Pakistan’s hospitality, which they were emphasizing after the cancellation of ICC matches in the country.
“You seem to have forgotten to shake hands, you even stopped by your neighbor’s.”

PCB’s despicable attempt to defame India globally
After being reassured of Pakistan’s hospitality and safety and establishing the fact that sport is the core culture of the country, the PCB then attempted to attract global attention by using the handshake incident in a bizarre way.
The most talked about part in the video was when an Australian did not shake hands and the Pakistani immediately reminded him, “Handshake bhool gaye aap, lagta hai padosio ke paas bhi ruke the” (You forgot the handshake, it seems as if you have met our neighbours).
The incident was marked as a sharp attack on the handshake controversy between India and Pakistan, which has become a common practice since the 2025 Asia Cup tie.
Action on the field says a lot about India
The PCB has designed this program to be humorous rather than mocking or confrontational, yet people are well aware of social media in today’s world. This is an attempt to take the issue beyond Asian borders to a global level.
However, India does not need any such promo or video jab to establish its hospitality, love for the game or use such tactics to remain relevant on the global stage. For them, their actions speak louder than words.
Be it on the pitch, at ICC events, and in the global calendar, India has always been a dominant side, and if the handshake has become selective, then the issue is not just limited to a minor case of lack of sportsmanship, but something much more serious than that.
