The PCB has officially banned Pakistan Champion’s further participation in the World Championships, which cites biased decisions and favorites from the authorities just before the Asia Cup 2025 preparations begin.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has adopted new policies after immense insults faced by the World Championship of Legends during the recently concluded season.
Pakistan has been in a continuous political battle with the neighboring nation India, and the toll of war has also been important on the cricket field. Disagreement between BCCI and PCB and India’s return from the Games against Pakistan in WCL has greatly tarnished the reputation of all PCBs and Pakistan.

PCB confirms Pakistan’s return from major tournament before Asia Cup 2025
The PCB has banned Pakistan’s participation in any future matches of the World Championship of Legends. PCB took a major step in the form of biased and hypocrites against Pakistan Champion against Pakistan Champion after PCB’s response by WCL officials.
“PCB, during its 79th bog meeting, was almost held under the chairmanship of Mohsin Naqvi, which was reviewed with great disappointment.
A PCB statement quoted by IANS stated, “And the contents of WCL’s press release announced the cancellation of matches of Scheduled India vs Pakistan legends, which were tainted with hypocrisy and bias.”
The PCB made its views clear that they are quoted as a disregard for the principles of sports neutrality citing the move, and therefore they are forced to take action before participation of the Asia Cup 2025.
“In the light of this unfortunate development, which outlines a clear and unbearable pattern of external influence and a disregard for the principles of the game neutrality, the Pakistan Cricket Board is forced to take a firm stance.”
PCB said, “PCB can no longer participate in an event where the fundamental principles of fair sports and fair administration are compromised by external pressures.”
India’s walkover harassed PCB as he banned using the name ‘Pakistan’ in a private league
After India’s Champions decided to withdraw from the group stage match, the authorities distributed points between the two sides, and the PCB had no stand on it as the board does not control the participation of the Pakistan Champion in the WCL.
This happened after the announcement of the Asia Cup 2025 match between India vs Pakistan. The Asia Cup 2025 faced serious criticism on the schedule.
Later, the Pakistan Champion was further humiliated when the India’s champion decided to withdraw from the semi -final competition and instead switching them to the walkover and honored his nation.
So Pakistan Champions went directly to the finals of the competition, although it harassed the PCB for non-participation in the competition, as they have banned using the name ‘Pakistan’ in private leagues like WCL.
Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan Champion lost two consecutive finals in WCL
The Pakistan Champion depicted in consecutive versions of the World Championship of Legends, and qualified for the finals in both sessions.
Pakistan Champions WCL lost to India Champion in the final of 2024, and then WCL lost to South Africa Champion in the 2025 final. They still wait for a title, while the PCB now banned its further participation.
