Pakistan batsman faced strict action from ICC amid ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, demerit points were given

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday found Pakistan batsman Gul Firozha guilty of a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against Australia.

Since she violated the rules, the council has given one demerit point to the Pakistan batsman amid the ongoing T20 World Cup. Regarding the development, the council has released a statement through its official website.

Pakistan women’s team cricketer Gul Firuza threw her gloves on the ground aggressively.

Gul Firozha was seen throwing his gloves on the ground near the team dugout due to his aggression after losing his wicket. This act was reported by the match officials and action has been taken as per the rules. Firozha has admitted his actions and admitted the crime he committed during the match against Australia.

“Firoza was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which covers the misuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match,” the ICC said in its official statement.

Talking about the match, on June 23, Australia gave a crushing defeat to Pakistan women’s cricket team at Headingley Carnegie in Leeds.
