However, Mumbai Indians saw their experienced batsman retired hurt at the score of 19 after facing 13 balls against RCB. After defending the 13th ball of his innings, Sharma himself called the substitute player. MI eventually lost the game by 18 runs.

Rohit Sharma will now undergo a scan after suffering a hamstring injury in the match against RCB. According to a report in Cricbuzz, his availability for the next game against Punjab Kings will be confirmed only after the scans. This match is scheduled for 16 April.
