Australia A widespread victory was recorded in the first T20i Three-match chain against New Zealand At Bay Oval, Mount Maunaganui on Wednesday, October 1.
Tim Robinson’s first T20i century guides New Zealand till 181/6
New Zealand opener Tim Robinson burned the innings with a notable 106 off 66 balls, with his first T20I century, the hosts posted at 181/6 in 20 overs against Australia. Robinson’s innings, with six fours and five sixes, came after a top-order collapse, in which New Zealand was seen falling up to 6/3 inside the second over.
Recovery was anchored by Robinson and Derryl Mitchell, who scored 34 runs in 23 delivery in 92 -run partnership. Bowon Jacobs (21 runs to 20) and Skipper Michael Bracewell (7 runs 4) late Camos beyond 180.
Australia’s bowling attempt was led Josh hazalwood (1/23), who bowled with accuracy, while Ben Buersuis (2/40) took major wickets but proved to be expensive. Adam Zampa’s 4β0-27β0 spell implemented control in the mid-over, although Robinson remained immovable.
Michelle Marsh chases Australia
Chasing 182, Australia began a flight, leading to the front with Mitchell Marsh. The captain scored 85 runs in 43 balls, including nine fours and five sixes at a shocking strike rate of about 200.
He was supported by Travis Head (31 runs 18) and Matthew Short (29 runs 18), both attacked the New Zealand bowlers in Powerplay. Until the half -way stage, Australia crossed 100, in which Chase was well accessed.
With the platform set, Tim David (21 Not out of 12) and Marcus Stoinis (4 Not out of 1) chased in style, brought Australia home at 185/4 in just 16.3 overs, winning by six wickets.
The Kiwi attack failed to stem the run flow with Matt Henry (2/43), with both Marsh and the head raised, but at high cost. Kyle Jaimison (1/46) and Zakari Folks (1/35 in 2.3 overs) also hit, but Australia’s power hits maintained the entire control.
Jacob Dafi and Captain Michael Bracewell were unable to apply pressure, more than nine runs. Australia calculated aggression ensured that there was no delay.

A major win for Australia. Very poor bowling from New Zealand. Australia have won 15 T20I out of their last 18 matches. Mitchell Marsh is actually a good captain. This Australian T20 team looks dangerous pic.twitter.com/fs1y9si4dn

Australia actually crushed New Zealand in the first T20I. One can imagine how they are going to perform in the upcoming World T20#AUSVNZ

A disadvantage in the first T20i, a poor start with the bat but a good comeback with the bat led by Tim Robinson’s young woman Intal Handal. But a disappointing bowling attempt defends the Sub-Barabar clan. All the best blackcap for the next game.#Backtheblackcaps #Nzvaus pic.twitter.com/xxvp9auzo

Tim Robinson gets her young woman for the international century! However, one should not have come against Australia.
