Legendary India National Cricket Team batsman Sunil Gavaskar has openly demanded that the word ‘workload management’ be erased from the Indian cricket dictionary.

Gavaskar is strictly against the idea of managing the players’ workload and the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy appreciated the chief Pesar Mohammad Siraj for playing five back-to-back test matches in 2025.

Mohammad Siraj shines in the absence of Jaspreet Bumrah

Mohammad Siraj Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy turned out to be a game-changer for the India National Cricket Team in 2025 and helped him attract the series 2–2.

Additional responsibility fell on Mohammad Sirj’s shoulders when it was declared before the series that Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah would play three out of five matches on a tour of England to manage his charge.

Bumrah played in The Eques and Lord’s Test matches, which lost India, and its third and final appearance came to the Manchester Test, which the visitors managed to attract.

India faster the bowlers throughout the series, but a person was present in all line -ups – Mohammad Sirj. He took out his heart for the nation, and even on the 25th day of the series, he was breathing fire.

Siraj got work for India with his player of the match performance in the Oval Test and in total 1113 balls (185.3 overs) took 23 wickets.

He did this business of charge forever – Sunil Gavaskar

In a conversation on India today, Sunil Gavaskar appreciated Siraj and said that Pesar rejected the principle of workload and said that it was a mental thing.

“It is always said that bowlers win your matches, but the fact of the fact that you have also got to score runs. Because India did not score runs, they lost those two matches. So, I think Sirj put his heart out and he debunted the business for work forever.

“I hope that the word ‘workload’ gets out of the Indian cricket dictionary. I am saying that for a long time. For the nonstop for five Test matches, he bowled the mantras of the 6-over, 7-over, 8-over, because the captain wanted it, and the country expected him.

Do you think that the soldiers complain about the cold – Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar further said that the workload management should not be given importance by the coaching staff, such as someone buys in that story, the best players will never take the field.

“If you are going to bend in front of those who are talking about the workload, then you are never going to be your best player on the field. You have found them to take them to a situation where you say, ‘Hello, you are playing for your country, and when you are playing for your country, you have forgotten pain and pain in your muscles.

“What do you mean on the border. Do you think the young men complain about the cold, or what is the situation? They are there to give their lives for the country. Give their best for the country.

“Don’t worry about accident pain. What does Rishabh Pant show you? He came out of the bat with a fracture. This is the kind of thing you want to expect from your team. This is something you want to expect. Don’t go away from minor injuries. It is an honor given to you 140 crores, so you look at it.

Finally, Sunil Gavaskar said that he did not target Jasprit Bumrah with his comment as Pace Spearhead remembered matches due to his ongoing injury issues.

“There is no problem in the home series, but of course in the foreign chain, where you are taking a team abroad, and the balance of the team may be affected. At home, you have enough time to call for the store, so this is not an issue.

“But to go abroad, you might have to look at that factor. But Bumrah was an issue of injury, not a matter of work. He had a serious injury. And so I think it would also have to keep in mind. When he played two Tests, he took two pictures, he probably won those wickets, but he said that he should not forget a amazing bowler.”
