Former Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who declared his retirement on August 24, revealed four bowlers who he considered the most difficult opponents of his career. Pujara did not include Jasprit Bumrah in the list and chose two former South African pacers with England and Australia bowlers.
The 37 -year -old cricketer abolished his 13 -year international career. Pujara represents India with 103 testing in 108 international people. He scored 7,195 runs at an average of 43.60 with 19 centuries. The right-handed batsman played an important role in India’s Test series win in Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21.
Cheteshwar Pujara chooses the most difficult bowlers to face in his career
In an interview with the Times of India, Cheteshwar Pujara chose four bowlers, who challenged him the most. The 37 -year -old faced during his career as Dale Stan, Morne Morkel, James Anderson and Pat Cummins during his career.

Pujara said, “During my career, Dell Stan, Morne Morkel, James Anderson and Pat Cummins are one of the most challenging bowlers I have faced.”
Pujara struggled against high quality fast bowlers, especially from South Africa. He managed to score 882 runs in 17 tests at an average of only 30.41 as compared to South Africa. The batsman had an average of 28.15 in 19 innings in the country.
Pujara struggled against Dell Stan and Morne Morkel at an average of 30 and 19 respectively, and was rejected six times between the two. He also fought against James Anderson. The former number 3 batsman was rejected by the English pacer at an average of 12 times at an average of 21.80.
He had an average of 39.51 on an average of tests against England, but his average in English position was 29. Pujara was an average of 22.50 against Pat Cummins and was rejected eight times by the Australian bowler.

Cheteshwar Pujara also nominated five Test innings from his career. The right-handed batsman said that he gives importance to his 92 in the second innings against Australia in Bengaluru at the 2016-17 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).
Pujara said, “There are many important people, but some people are standing outside. I have not to open the innings against Sri Lanka, not 145, where I had to open the innings.”
“After this there are 123 in Adelaide in 2018, on the early day of the series, which we finally won. My doubles remain close to me in India-206 not against England in Ahmedabad (2012-13) (2012-13) and Hyderabad (2012-13) against Australia in 204 and Hyderabad (2012-13). Another knock in Australia in 2017 is my 92 against Bengalur in 92.”
Cheteshwar Pujara’s five favorite Test innings
Pujara scored an unbeaten 145 in Sri Lanka in 2015, which helped India win 117 runs and win a three-match series 2–1. He scored 123 runs in Adelaide during the 2018-19 Border-Gavaskar Trophy opener. The batsman played an important role by winning the series 2–1 in India.
Pujara included its dual centuries against England and Australia in India during the 2012-13 season in number 3 and 4. It is noteworthy that the two wins came within five months.
Saurashtra cricketer highlighted his 92 in the second innings against Australia in Bangalore in 2017. He directed India to level the four-match series 1–1. In Blue, men went to win the series 2–1.
