He said that Bhuvneshwar Kumar is an excellent bowler with a new ball, and he should be on the radar of the selectors for the Asia Cup 2025.

“I can think about it [bringing Bhuvneshwar back] Because he is doing brilliantly. In all fairness, yes he did not bowl well in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi -finals, but before that he did well. The 1983 World Cup winner said that he did not play for India after that, but is doing very well in the IPL.

“I don’t know why people don’t see him at all. Bhuvi is an excellent new ball bowler. I think Bhuvi should be seen very seriously.”

35 -year -old Pesar Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been one of the best artists for Team India in the last decade, and he had a large -scale impact with his deadly swing bowling in all formats.

However, with age, their effectiveness decreased, and even though he worked very hard and managed to make some comeback in the Indian White-Ball setup, the selectors decided to move forward in 2022.

He last played a T20I game for India in November 2022 against New Zealand in Napier, and his last ODI appearance was in January 2022 against South Africa in Paril. Talking about his last Test outing, it came against South Africa in Johannesburg in January 2018.

After returning to T20 discussion, he played 309 20 over cricket matches in his career and took 327 wickets. In IPL 2025, he shone with 17 wickets in 14 games and played an important role in RCB’s victory. In addition, in T20Is, he has taken 90 wickets in 87 matches for India.

Asia Cup 2025: Mohammad Sirj vs Prasad Krishna debate settled

Chris Srikanth has also supported Mohammad Sirraj for Pip fame Krishna as a third pace in the Indian T20I team for the Asia Cup 2025. He said:

“Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh are certain. I believe that Siraj must have surpassed fame Krishna. He has qualities while fighting. Prasad bowled very well in the IPL. He did a great job, but Siraj should be outlined as additional medium pacers.

“Both Prasad and Siraj bowled well for GT in all fairness. But, in the present form, Siraj has that speed as well as a rhythm. I will continue with Siraj.”
