His leg did not go to that far – KL Rahul’s dismissal on RP Singh
Former India’s Pesar RP Singh also shared his views on KL Rahul’s dismissal. Singh said that Rahul was giving time to the ball with an elegant drive, but wrongly understood the delivery of it. He said that the batsman did not extend his leg far further to reach the ball’s pitch.
“It seemed that he was knocking, as someone was bowling, and he was just giving them time. So whenever he had to make a small progress near the off-stump, he gave the ball a good time, but the ball was a little distance away, and his leg did not go to that far,” he said.
“As Irfan was discussing, he played an attractive shot that went to the point. The partnership was good, but in the test matches, you feel that when you are under total control you should dominate, and sometimes, some balls come where you feel that you have disappeared. Greed is a bad thing,” Singh said.
First appearance Sai Sudhrasan KL ended for a four -ball duck after Rahul’s wicket. Shubman Gill formed an important centenary partnership with Yashsvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant, who remained unbeaten on 102 balls to guide India in a strong and commanding position.
