Lucknow Super veteran Pesar Prince Yadav, who was selected after a solid show in DPL, has now claimed that Rishabh Pant or Zaheer Khan but former South African legendary del Stan is his biggest inspiration in international cricket.
After making a promising start for the Delhi Premier League, 23 -year -old Delhi’s Paer Prince Yadav was selected by Lucknow Super Giants for the IPL 2025 season. Before being recognized by Rishabh Pant -led side, his performance was confident with the Delhi team.
“Two or three franchises called me for tests, but LSG chose me. My tests went well almost everywhere, but the support I got from LSG was too big. I was a net bowler with him first, and helped me a lot,” Yadav said.

He said, “When I started taking wickets, I got a contract of 30 lakhs, which was a big step. Vijay Dahiya sir, who was part of the LSG support staff, also directed me a lot as an assistant coach,” he said.

Although many modern -day Indian players have considered players like Jasprit Bumrah, experienced star for India, LSG Pesar has chosen otherwise. Despite working under the shadow of one of the most mythological pacers, Zaheer Khan in India, he has chosen a South African legend, Dale Steyn as his inspiration for pace bowling.
“When I was too young, my favorite bowler was Brett Lee, but later del Stan became my idol. I loved her aggression. I had not met her yet, but I would like to meet her someday and take bowling tips to him someday,” Prince said.
Prince revealed Rishabh Pant’s support in his debut IPL season
Prince Yadav made his debut in DPL and impressed everyone as he spoke on the new ball and also corrected his yorker in stumps. He took 13 wickets in the inauguration season, and Rishabh Pant, who led the LSG, brought him as a pacer.

“Rishabh Pant always directed me. He often told me that under pressure conditions, you should never let the pressure go to you and always find a way. The sooner you learn to handle the pressure, the faster you grow, the faster you grow,” Prince told Timesofedia.com.
“Whenever I feel doubt or pressure on any point, I will talk to him, and he will immediately clean it for me. He knows how to bounce back. Even if he was not performing several times, he never allows the team or himself to be impressed. He had the same relationship with everyone, the same energy, and always positive,” he said.

Along with Rishabh Pant, LSG Pesar has also credited LSG patron Zaheer Khan for supporting him during his stay at Lucknow camp and thanked him for showing immense confidence in his abilities.
“Zaheer sir has always supported me and has taught me valuable lessons. Even as a net bowler, I bowled to almost all the players, and this year, as part of the main squad, I bowled everyone in matches as well. I managed to reject some big names,” Fast bowler said.
