Former England captain Michael Vaughan criticized Zak Crolly’s view during the second innings of the Lord’s Test. Vaughan reported that the opener lacked patience after avoiding a test mantra from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Sirj.
“The problem is that Zak Crowley is tying a shot to play with every ball. He has been seen away from Bumrah and Siraj, and he has decided that he is going to play every ball from Nitish Kumar Reddy. After seeing Bumrah and Sirj, after showing courage, you will expect more than the Crole,” Won said, BBC Test match.
“The problem is that you can see it coming with Zak Crowley. You are afraid of him as a protest but you can see it coming.”
India and England match equally in the third Test, when both teams posted the first innings scores as 387.
KL Rahul contributed significantly (scoring 100 off 177 balls), while Rishabh Pant (74) and Ravindra Jadeja (72) contributed significantly. Karun Nair (40), Nitish Kumar Reddy (30), and Washington Sundar (23) also scored runs.
England’s bowling was led by Chris Woakes who took three wickets, while Joffra Archer and Ben Stokes claimed two each.
Earlier, Joe Root scored his 37th Test century, while Jamie Smith and Bridan Cars hit a half -century. Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets for India, in which Mohammad Siraj and Nitish Kumar Reddy worked for two wickets.
