This is the toughest set of selection meetings-Charlotte Edwards in England team

Head coach Charlotte Edwards is happy with the team, calling it the toughest part of selecting for the T20 World Cup, and also shared her feelings about training the team on home soil for the upcoming major ICC event.

Charlotte Edwards said, “There is no doubt that it has been incredibly difficult to get down to these 15 names. This is the toughest set of selection meetings I have been a part of because the group of players to select from is so strong and so many talented players have put their hand up to be part of the squad, which is exactly what we want.”

“This is the nature of the world-class game, and it is a privilege we do not take lightly to be able to make these difficult decisions. Hosting the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on home soil is a special moment for the game in this country, and we are all really inspired by what may lie ahead for this group of players and what they can achieve this summer.”
