Bangladesh’s young fast bowler Nahid Rana is finally getting rewarded for his hard work and stellar performances at the highest level. This fast bowler has impressed everyone with his pace, aggression and confidence in the recent ODI series against New Zealand.

Naheed was one of the shining stars during Bangladesh’s 1–1 ODI series draw against New Zealand, where he took eight wickets in just two matches, with one match being abandoned due to heavy rain. His fearless attitude and ability to take wickets regularly earned him huge recognition.
Nahid Rana crowned ICC Player of the Month
On Thursday, May 14, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced Nahid Rana as the winner of the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for April 2026 for his outstanding performance against New Zealand. This is the first ICC Player of the Month award for Rana.

Rana also becomes the first Bangladeshi male cricketer to win the ICC Player of the Month award since Mehdi Hasan Miraz won the honor in April last year, which makes the achievement even more special for him and Bangladesh cricket.
Before the New Zealand series, the young sensation had also taken eight wickets in the three-match ODI series against Pakistan on home soil in March. So he has taken 16 wickets in just 5 ODI matches.
