Navdeep Saini has praised Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir, which she is facing for match-winners like Sris Iyer, Mohammad Sirj and Yashsvi Jaiswal, which is for the Asia Cup 2025.
Gautam Gambhir, with Indian chief selector Ajit Aggarkar, is facing heat for some of his controversial calls for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, starting from 9 September in the UAE.
Gambhir is known for his No-Bakwas and team-first approach, but is one who does not care about criticizing talented players.

Amidst anger among fans and cricket experts, Navdeep Saini shared how Gambhir changed everything for him. The former Indian opener saw Saini’s raw talent when he was just a young player, bowling him in the nets. Since then, he has always been there for the bowler.
Gambhir had no prior connection with Gambhir, yet he saw something special in the bowler, while faced him on the net. Without any hesitation, the current Indian head coach gave Saini an opportunity that changed his career. And now Saini paid tribute to Gambhir, saying that he is playing cricket only because of the former Delhi captain.
Navdeep Saini was quoted today by India saying: “Till date, my cricket career is present because of Gautam Gambhir. He gave me a chance at a time when I never thought I would play. And this is true. I didn’t even know him personally, and he did not even know that he and my talent. So, he gave me a chance, and so I am here.”
The fast bowler further said, “Even after I started, there were many other players who were not getting opportunities. But Gambhir also supported him, just because he believed that he had more talent. Many of those players are playing good cricket now. Their support is a turn not only for me, but also for many others.”
