Mumbai Indians (MI) finally got some much-needed good news amid the ongoing Tata Indian Premier League 2026 (Tata IPL 2026). After being stressed about his fitness for several days, Rohit Sharma is now very close to returning to action.
Rohit Sharma has been ruled out after suffering a right hamstring injury during Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2026 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in April. The injury forced the senior opener to miss three consecutive MI matches against Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.

As per India Today report, Rohit has been training regularly, hitting the gym and participating in practice sessions without any problem. The report also states that the former Indian captain has not complained of ‘any pain or discomfort during his rehabilitation’ so far.
