Mumbai Indians have planted former Australian batsman Lisa Keitly as their head coach before the next season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
The two -time WPL winners were without a head coach as Charlotte Edwards participated with him earlier this year.

Edwards left Mumbai Indians to handle England’s women’s head coach job earlier this year. She was the head coach for the franchise for the first three WPL season.
Under Edwards, Mumbai Indians enjoyed a successful journey. He won the inaugural season in 2023 in 2024 in 2024 before he failed to qualify. However, he bounced back into style this year and won the tournament twice to become the first team to win WPL.

Expressing his happiness over joining Mumbai Indians as a head coach, Lisa Keitly said that the team has set a benchmark in WPL with its success in the first three sessions. Ketley also said that she praises the ‘culture of excellence and care’ in the franchise.

Lisa Keitly is not new to win major competitions
Kitley is not new to win major competitions. It was a part of the Australian team that won the ODI World Cup in 1997 and 2005. After finishing her game’s career, she is doing her business as a coach. In 2007, Caitley became the first woman to be appointed as the coach of Australia’s women’s team.
In recent years, the former cricketer has several coaching stents. She has worked with England’s Women, Australia Women, Delhi Capital (WPL), and Sydney Thunder (WBBL). A few weeks ago, she was a part of the Backroom Staff for Northern Supervisors in women’s hundred.
Talking about his game career, his international career spread from 1995 to 2005. Ketley represented Australia in nine Tests, 82 Odis and One T20I.
