Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans are experiencing their worst nightmare as MS Dhoni remains out of the ongoing IPL 2026 due to his calf injury. MS Dhoni, who has already missed the first three matches of the season, is now out of CSK’s next encounter against Delhi Capitals on April 11.
The great wicketkeeper-batsman’s calf injury has become a major concern inside the Chennai Super Kings camp. They are clearly feeling the pressure and are making no sense without MS Dhoni, as the five-time champions have lost three consecutive games so far in the ongoing IPL 2026.

MS Dhoni is currently working closely with the CSK support staff in Chennai. According to the report of RevSportz journalist, the former captain has started practicing with the team, but the signs are not that good.

Rohit Juglan claimed that Dhoni was only seen “jogging” and doing light net sessions, but he is nowhere near full match fitness. He revealed that he has not batted with full intensity in the nets.
This indicates that Chennai Super Kings may have to wait longer than expected for MSD’s return. Dhoni’s injury needs time to heal as his actions show that he is not yet ready for match intensity and the team would not want to take any risks on such a sensitive muscle issue.
Dhoni and CSK await crucial fitness tests as race against time begins
The journalist revealed that “MS Dhoni will have to undergo two major fitness tests”, and these are expected to happen ahead of CSK’s IPL 2026 match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14. Now, Dhoni’s comeback entirely depends on how he performs in the upcoming fitness tests.
It is being said that if the calf does not heal properly then the CSK icon will not be available for selection till the last week of April. Currently, even the KKR match seems “doubtful” unless he miraculously recovers. The final decision will be taken after the last round of fitness test.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings are preparing for a dramatic makeover in the ongoing IPL 2026 as they are set to get their biggest addition in the form of Dewald Brevis. It is said that Brewis has recovered from side strain and is ready to face Delhi Capitals.
Although Australian speedster Spencer Johnson will reach Chennai around April 25-26, he will not be available to play until the first week of May. Well, CSK are seriously considering Akeal Hossein for the DC match, given his clever spin and control and the struggles other bowlers have faced.

In a heartwarming moment, Sanju Samson surprised a fan by gifting him a brand new smartphone. He stopped his car near Kozhikode, Kerala at around 5:15 pm to pick up the phone.
At the same time, Shabarish, a cable technician from Katampazhipuram, was headed towards a local cricket ground in Mangalankunnu with his friend Manikandan.
