Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson Allegedly wants to leave the team with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which shows interest in signing a wicketkeeper-boy. According to the latest reports, the inaugural champion IPL wants two CSK players in exchange for Samson before the 2026 season.
The 30 -year -old started his IPL for Rajasthan in 2013. Samson went to play for the franchise by 2015 before joining the Delhi franchise when RR was suspended for two sessions. Earlier in his career, it was part Kolkata Knight Riders‘(KKR) 2012 IPL-winning squad but did not play in any match.

A day after the report, The Indian Express revealed that Chennai Super Kings are interested in signing Sanju Samson. CSK management and coach Stephen Fleming met Samson in the US after IPL 2025. While Chennai is open to a cash trade, Rajasthan in turn wants two players.

KKR is interested in Sanju Samson, but the player is in favor of CSK
Three -time IPL champion Kolkata Knight Riders are also eyeing Samson, but he is allegedly more keen to join Chennai. There is a possibility of entering Samson IPL auction If Rajasthan and Chennai fail to reach a deal.
The report said that Samson is keen to go to Chennai for several reasons.
Samson played just nine matches for the Jaipur -based franchise in IPL 2025. He scored 285 runs at a strike rate of 35.63 and 140.39 on an average. The team finished ninth in the standing, ending a poor campaign.
