A bizarre incident made headlines in the Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat match when Moises Henriques had his time-out appeal against Matt Kuhneman withdrawn.
This year, many special moments were seen in the Big Bash League. A strange incident has been witnessed in the Australian T20 League, which has shocked the spectators and even the cricket legends.
The match between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat featured two teams who have not had the best of performances this season in the BBL. The Sydney Sixers captain showed amazing sportsmanship which boosted the morale of the players.
Matt Kuhnman was in trouble as Hugh Wiebgen was handed the wrong glove.
When Brisbane Heat had already lost 7 wickets, spinner Matt Kuhnman came into the middle along with Hugh Wiebgen. But it was delayed when Wiebgen was handed the wrong gloves by his team.
This caused a huge uproar, where someone remembered an earlier incident involving Indian no. 11 Ishant Sharma, who adopted similar tactics to delay the match proceedings.
Time out is a situation when a player takes more time than the stipulated time to reach the crease after the fall of the wicket. If the time exceeds, he is declared out by the field umpire.
“I saw it once in a Test match when Ishant Sharma was trying to waste time.”

Moises Henriques shows commendable sportsmanship in BBL game
Following the incident during the BBL, Moises Henriques, who had first appealed for the dismissal, was merciful as he withdrew his appeal and gave Kuhneman life.
Brisbane Heat, who were already struggling with the fall of 7 wickets with less than a hundred runs on the board, could have fallen further if Kuhneman had lost his wicket in this manner.
However, Kuhneman was out on the very next ball as he was dismissed for a golden duck by spinner Joel Davis.
‘I take it back’
This could have been one of the most dramatic moments #bbl15 Season.

Aaron Finch explodes as Henriques gives Heat a breather
Former Australian captain Aaron Finch was left fuming with his former teammate Moises Henriques’ decision to save Kuhneman from an early dismissal.
Finch, who was in the commentary box at the time, appeared surprised by the withdrawal and felt that such decisions were taken by the on-field umpires and not by any other player or team captain.
“It should not be on the captain to come forward and withdraw the appeal… it is the umpires who control the game.”
