Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) hosted its first annual general meeting (AGM) in Singapore under the leadership of new president J Shah.

Mohsin Naqvi left the four -day meeting, and it came as a major surprise for many, with many people believe that the PCB chief has boycotted the ICC.

Speaking after the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Dhaka, Mohsin Naqvi revealed that he was unable to attend the ICC meeting as he was trapped with a busy program.

“Many countries could not come to Dhaka. It happens every time. I was not able to go to Singapore [in the recent ICC meeting]Because I was trapped. This is a common thing. Most people have come. Many people cannot come due to their schedule. All 25 members attended today’s meeting for the ACC and BCB.

Mohsin Naqvi said in an official statement, “This is more ACC and BCCI. I hope that we will solve the pending issue and we will also have the Asia Cup.”

In particular, the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials did not visit Dhaka for the ACC meeting due to security reasons and participated online.

Mohsin Naqvi further revealed that all members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) attended the Dhaka meeting.

The Chairman of the ACC said that they are consulting with the BCCI and will soon solve the case between the two boards and announce the Asia Cup 2025 details. He explained in detail:

“First, the AGM meeting went very well. We have 25 members in the ACC and all 25 members attended the meeting. Secondly, I am grateful to all the members who came here and all the members who attend the meeting via Zoom. Secondly, I really want to thank Aminul Bhai for their hospitality and for BCB hospitality.

“The way they took care of us, we had two days amazing. It was very memorable and from the ACC, I want to thank the way they have held everything. The final thing is that, we all have decided to work for cricket. None of us does not want politics within any of our organizations and I hope that this kind of meeting will continue in future.

“It will also be announced soon [regarding Asia Cup]We are in consultation with BCCI. We will hope that soon we will solve it too. We discussed this and we have decided that themselves and Aminul Bhai have solved some issues and we will complete it as soon as possible. ,

Asia Cup to be held in UAE

According to a report in Cricbuzz, the Asia Cup is turned on 2025, but the official decision on the matter will be made by the Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the next AGM.

A total of eight teams – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Hong Kong and Oman – will participate in the 19 -Match Continental tournament.

Allegedly, the competition is expected to be held in the UAE from September 10 to September 28, with the Control Board (BCCI) official hosts for cricket in India.
