A brief highlight of the India A vs Pakistan Shaheens match in the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament
India A continued its no-handshake policy, which started with Team India refusing to play the Pakistan national team during the Asia Cup 2025. Sent in to bat first, and they had a good start, India were all out for 136 without playing their 19 overs.
Pakistan Shaheens looked promising right from the start and completed the chase in just 13.2 overs with around 40 balls remaining. Credit for this also goes to the Indian fielders, who on several occasions felled Pakistan’s best batsman Maaz Sadaqat.
The opener continued his fearless progress and scored an unbeaten 79* to guide Pakistan Shaheens to an 8-wicket win, their second in a Group B game, as they overtook India A to top their group.
Jitesh Sharma and co. Must be citing Super-4 match to take revenge from Pakistan
After the humiliating defeat and the poor collapse of India A’s middle order, the Jitesh Sharma-led side will definitely look to come back stronger in the next game. With several promising cricketers at home, Pakistan will be hoping for a reverse result when they take on Shaheen in the Super-4.
Some also claimed that the Asia Cup Rising Stars IPL vs PSL is a clear portrayal of talent and that the PSL has the upper hand. Although the bowling deck does not look close to IPL standards, several batting stalwarts have been selected from the IPL.
Priyansh Arya, Jitesh Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nehal Wadhera and Naman Dheer are all undoubtedly promising figures for India’s future campaigns.
