Mohsin Naqvi makes nonsense claim to make fun of India and IPL as PSL lacks viewers

The ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) has crossed its halfway mark as match number 22 of the 44-match league was played on April 13. Due to the fuel crisis, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi announced that PSL 2026 will take place without spectators on the grounds.

Naqvi made this announcement before the tournament. The scenario did not change even after playing the 22nd match of the league; There remain empty stadiums. Will the board allow spectators in the remaining part of the league? Media personnel asked the PCB chief present on the field.

Ahead of the tournament, Mohsin Naqvi announced through a press conference that as long as the fuel crisis remains a serious matter, they will not allow crowds during PSL 2026 matches.

“Looking at all this and after discussions with security agencies, we decided that the PSL will continue as per the original schedule. But we cannot ask people to restrict their activities and then allow 30,000 people into the stadium for PSL games every day,” Naqvi told the media.

“We decided that as long as this crisis continues, we will not have crowds at matches. It was a difficult decision, but it needed to be taken. The opening ceremony will also be cancelled,” he said.

Not only Pakistan, but many countries around the world are also facing fuel crisis, while the Indian government dealt with the situation by taking appropriate steps and not asking citizens to limit their activities.

Mohsin Naqvi’s views were different. He claimed that due to the fuel crisis, the citizens of India are facing a lot of struggle in their daily life.

Mohsin Naqvi told the media, “Our approach is different. There are long queues at petrol pumps. There is shortage of fuel. Thank God this is not the case in your country. And secondly, it is always easy for those who reorganize themselves in these difficult times.”

Naqvi further said that he talked to the PSL team owners for a long time to understand the situation. The PCB chief claimed that he received several requests to arrange matches with crowds in the gallery. He is expected to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before confirming his future steps.

“I have met the PSL team owners and the team after a long time. Many people from Karachi have also told me. I will meet the PM again in the next few days and request him.”

But you should see what is the situation in the world. Let’s see what the oil crisis is. But I will definitely request the PM,” Mohsin Naqvi told.
