Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently announced the new structure for the central contracts of its players. PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi announced the new structure at a press conference on Monday along with white-ball head coach Mike Hesson, national selector and high performance director Aaqib Javed and other top board members. Now, according to reports coming from Geo News, the players have been divided into several categories based on the format they represent and their availability for the franchise league. Players contracted specifically for Tests will receive an annual salary of PKR 4.8 crore. Meanwhile, other cricketers who are part of both the Test and ODI setups will get PKR 6 crore per year.
PCB announces new salary structure
This makes them the highest-paid category under the new structure, while players involved in ODIs and T20Is will get PKR 2.16 crore annually, while players involved in T20Is and various league competitions will get PKR 1.8 crore per annum.

Apart from the annual retainers, the PCB has also revised the match fees across all formats. Players will receive PKR 15 lakh for each Test match, PKR 7.5 lakh for each ODI and PKR 5 lakh for each T20 match.
