Last time, the PSL and IPL were organized during the India-Pakistan war-like situation after the Pahalgam attacks. The PSL and IPL competitions were hit by tension and players faced a massive security crisis; Therefore, PCB does not want to take any risk this time.

PSL venues likely to be reduced for 2026

The PCB had earlier announced that they were looking to expand the PSL and hence added two new franchises to the competition. Adding franchises simply means that new locations will be added as home grounds for the respective teams.

However, in the meeting, which is scheduled to take place within the PCB committee on March 22, several important discussions are likely to take place around the tournament. Salim Khaliq’s report suggests that there is a possibility that the places for the competition could be reduced.
