Mohammed Siraj produced one of the most dramatic outings in the first Test between India and South Africa as his fiery fast bowler blasted Simon Harmer’s off stump in a brilliant display of precision, toughness and accuracy at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

On the third ball of the 53rd over, Mohammed Siraj delivered a moment of devastation when he came to bowl his second over of South Africa’s second innings at the Eden Gardens. Siraj sent a length ball which angled towards the stumps and Harmer completely misread the delivery.

Harmer made the big mistake of leaving it alone as the ball hit the off stump with such force that the stump not only came out of the ground but also split into two, leaving the wicket in complete disarray at Eden Gardens on the morning of the third day.

The hit was so strong that the fourth umpire had to rush in with a new stump to replace the broken one, with the Indian fast bowler reminding everyone that no one can take them lightly. The Proteas star walked back after scoring 7 runs from 20 balls after Siraj was ruled out through a review earlier.
