Team India’s fast bowler Mohammad Shami has been directed by the Calcutta High Court to pay ₹ 4 lakh per month as alimony to his prestigious wife, Hasin Jahhan. Shami and Hasin are now involved in legal disputes over the years, and the court’s decision is seen as a major legal shock for the cricketer.

Hasin Jahan is a pre -model and married Mohammed Shami in 2014. The couple welcomed a daughter the following year. However, their relationship took a harsh turn in 2018 when Jahn made serious allegations against Shami, including domestic violence, dowry harassment and even match-fixing.

The court ordered Mohammed Shami to pay ₹ 4 lakh monthly alimony

Mohammed Shami has been ordered by the Calcutta High Court to pay for 4 lakh per month in alimony to his prestigious wife, Hasin Jahn. Shami will have to pay ₹ 1.5 lakh for the maintenance of Jahn, while his daughter is for care and expenses of his daughter, Aaira.

The court has also ruled that this payment will be rebelled from 2018, the year Jahan filed a case under the security of women from the Domestic Violence Act.

Justice Mukherjee said in his order, “In my view, the petitioner number 1 (wife) will be appropriate, appropriate and appropriate to ensure financial stability for both petitioners, for petitioner number 1 (wife) and Rs 2,50,000 to his daughter.”

Hasin Jahhan demanded of 7 lakh monthly alimony from Mohammed Shami

Back in 2018, Hasin Jahn had demanded 7 lakhs per month in alimony from Mohammed Shami, but her request was initially rejected on the basis that she was earning through modeling.

He later challenged the decision. The Alipore court directed Shami to pay 80,000 per month for the maintenance of both his wife and daughter. The amount was later revised by a District Judge for Jahan and 50,000 for Jahan and ₹ 80,000 for his daughter, ₹ 1.3 lakh per month for ₹ 1.3 lakh.

After this, Jahan went to the Calcutta High Court, which said that his monthly expenditure was around ₹ 6.5 lakh. He also claimed that Shami did not provide adequate financial assistance, despite earning around 7.5 crores annually.

Mohammed Shami made a poor return to the Indian side after injury

Shami has struggled to re -achieve the form after returning from a long injury break in 2024. Senior Pacer portrayed two Odis against England and also played in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Shami succeeded in taking 11 wickets in seven matches at the economy rate of about six runs per over. However, he gave a significant performance in the semi -finals against Australia, claiming 3 for 48 in 10 overs.

His struggle continued in the 2025 IPL, where he represented Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Shami took just six wickets in nine matches at a high average of 56.16 and an economy rate of 11 runs. He was removed from India’s squad for the ongoing test series against England.
