SRH to get IPL 2026 auction purse to get INR 21.25 crore rupees
Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Mohammed Shami for INR for Rs 10 crore and included Ishan Kishan after a fierce bid fight for another huge INR 11.25 crore. Both of them looked like great additions to strengthen the SRH squad with the successful 2025 successful season players.
However, the two big names could not perform their abilities best. Mohammed Shami had an unforgettable season, with only 6 wickets and a devastating economy. Ishan Kishan, however, started with a surprising hundred and immediately lost his rhythm from the second match.
He scored 354 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad at 35.40 on an average. Now, after the announcement of the new bowling coach, Varun Aaron, a viral video recently on social media has shown the new coach that Mohammed Shami, with wicket-keeper batsman Ishaan Kishan, may be players released by SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has made a significant change in its coaching staff after not one-to-the-handy season in IPL 2025, where they failed to move forward in the playoffs.
The previous bowling coach James Franklin has been replaced by former SRH cricketer Varun Aaron for IPL 2026. It was declared on Monday evening through a social media post conducted by Sunrisers Hyderabad, as they tagged it ‘fierce addition’ for the coaching staff.

Mohammed Shami has been out of action since IPL 2025
Varun Aaron has been a former companion of both Mohammed Shami and Ishaan Kishan in Indian and Jharkhand state teams respectively. As far as Mohammed Shami is concerned, Pacer is taking a toll of too many injuries.
Shami is excluded from action for most of his careers due to failures of several injuries. He was part of India’s squad in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and then also played in the IPL. However, he has been absent from the ground since then.
He was also not selected for the India vs England Test series, which is currently being played in England, despite his huge experience and a unmatched pair with Pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
On the other hand, Ishaan Kishan was seen playing in county cricket, where he scored the back-to-back in the fifties, which soon wanted to earn a place in the Indian side.
