Former India all-rounder and 1983 World Cup winner Madan Lal slammed former-Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yusuf to use the derogatory tenure against Team India T20 Eye Captain Suryakumar Yadav. Lal described Mohammad Yusuf as a “stupid”, saying that it is unacceptable for a former international cricketer to abuse the players.
India won seven wickets over Pakistan during a group-stage match in the Asia Cup 2025. After the game, Yusuf criticized Suryakumar for refusing to join hands with Salman Ali Aga. Speaking on Sama TV, Mohammad Yusuf made derogatory remarks and also accused India of influencing the umpires.

“Oh, see, this is the character of Pakistan. How can you misuse anyone? These are the only things they know and do not know anything. I can’t say anything else about it. Abuse is very wrong, and coming from a former cricketer, coming from a former cricketer, was a total foolishness,” Lal told India today.
Lal rejected the claims of Mohammad Yusuf’s umpiring bias, stating that modern technologies such as DRS ensure fair sports. Lal also said that Yusuf’s comment reduced the spirit and integrity of the game.

India chased the target comfortably. He won by seven wickets and secured his place in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 stage.
Pakistan should defeat UAE in their next match to be in controversy. If they move forward, India and Pakistan can face each other again in the Super 4 rounds.
