There are a lot of things in England’s favor – Michael Atitrat

Before the introduction of the drama at day 5, former captain Michael Atherton was asked to provide a pitch report, as in the end of the first day, KL Rahul said that the surface was a bit surprised.

Meanwhile, Michael Etharton said KL Rahul exaggerated a little as there was a slight inconsistent bounce on the pitch, but it was good overall. He said:

“Well, the truth is that when you have scored 100, such as KL Rahul, you like to talk a big thing that the circumstances are so difficult because it makes your 100 and your batting even better.

“There was a slight inconsistent bounce, especially from the end where I am now standing, which is the Kirkstal Lane end. So running down the hill, there is a slightly uneven bounce at a distant end, but it’s not bad. For the fifth day pitch, you can take any day.

“And as I say, all recent history has suggested here that the pitch is not so bad, that it is a good place to chase, to bat in a good place.
