Fan arrested after BCCI complaint for raising slogans against Gautam Gambhir
As per Hindustan Times report, the deteriorating conditions in the stands forced the BCCI team managers to file an official complaint. Police officers already present at the stadium immediately caught one of the people shouting slogans. That person was taken into custody from the spectator area itself. BCCI has not yet issued any statement on this incident.
Notably, it was India’s biggest Test defeat and second elimination on home soil within 12 months. On the other hand, South Africa became the only team to beat India twice in Tests. This was their first Test series win on Indian soil after 25 years.
