India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has opened for a better performance for the national team in the absence of Paes Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. Siraj said that leading the bowling attack leads to confidence, saying that it was time to end speculation around his performance.
Siraj ended the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 as a leading wicket-taker. He took 23 wickets on an average of 32.43, including two five-wicket haws. Jasprit Bumrah, with the disappearance of two matches, led Siraj to the bowling attack and played an important role in winning two Tests during a five -match series in India.

“Due to his back injury and not being managed by Jassi Bhai (Jasprit Bumrah), I tried to maintain positivity in the bowling unit. Whenever I was talking to my colleagues, the sky deep and all, I was trying to spread the belief what we could already do.”
Sirj has been released from India’s squad for the upcoming Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates starting on 9 September. Pacar will get a break after the tour of England. Australia is likely to be withdrawn for India’s next assignment on the ODI tour.
