Mohammad Siraj becomes the second Indian cricketer in history to achieve this remarkable milestone.

Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj is a Spearhead of India’s bowling unit in the ongoing fifth and final Test match against England at Oval in London. The right -handed pacer became the second Indian bowler only after Jasprit Bumrah to claim 20 wickets in a series on English earth in the longest format of the game.

Sirj scored 86 runs in 16.2 overs in the first innings, while Sirj took four wickets. Sirj continued his form in England’s second innings by removing Opener Zak Crolly late 3 days late. The next morning, he rejected the Stand-in Captain Oli Pope for 27 to help his team get closer to victory.

Siraj produced a spectacular delivery to dismiss the Oli Pope, implicating LBW with a nip-jet that came from a wide angle. The ball hit the pope on the knee roll and was shown by Hawki to crash in the middle and leg. The Pope had to return to the dressing room after scoring 27 runs.

With that wicket, Sirj overtook England’s Pacer Josh tongue with 20 dismissal in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy to move forward.

Cyries also became only the second Indian bowler to take 20 wickets in a test series in England, joining Jasprit Bumrah in that elite list. He is behind Bumrah, who took 23 wickets in the 2021 series, on the all -time list for Indians in a test series on English Earth.

Mohammad Sirraj completed the second 20+ wicket hall in the army test series

In the last 15 years, only five examples have claimed an Indian bowler 20 or more wickets in the same test series in army countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia). Siraj has achieved this achievement twice, while Jasprit Bumrah has done so three times.

Bumrah took 32 wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at an average of 13.06. Sirj has taken 20 wickets at an average of 34.30 in the ongoing range of England.

Mohammad Siraj and Prasad Krishna strike for India in 4 days session

India posted 396 days in their second innings, leading England a target of 374 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 118 runs, while Akash Deep, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar contributed to the valuable half -century.

England made a steady start and saw ready to finish the day without any loss, but Sirj hit the Zak Crowlie late to dismiss, leaving them at 50/1 by stumps.

On day 4, Ben Docket arrived in half a century before Prasad Krishna fell, KL Rahul caught a sharp in the slip. Siraj removed Oli Pope for 27. At the time of writing, England was 164/3, yet 210 runs away from the win, Joe Root (38) and Harry Brook (23) at the crease.
