Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif responded to Jasprit Bumrah after rejecting his criticism in a social media post.
All this started when Mohammad Kaif asked to highlight the X (East Twitter) that Bumrah is not doing his best to avoid injury.
Kaif indicated India’s weakness due to Bumrah
Former cricketer-turn-commentator said Bumrah is bowling in the early part of the innings under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy to avoid any injury.
Mohammad Kaif also said that it was not the same case under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, indirectly indicating that Paper could reduce the current captaincy.
“Under Rohit, Bumrah usually bowled overs under 1, 13, 17, 19, Surya. In the Asia Cup, he initially bowled three over magic. To avoid injury, Bumrah prefers to bowl these days while his body gets hot,”

He further said that the strategy of bowling three overs initially is helping opposition batsmen, writing: Bumrah has a big relief for 1 over batsmen in the remaining 14 overs. Against strong teams in the World Cup, it can harm India. ,
However, Jasprit Bumrah not only disagreed with Kaif’s observation, but also responded on social media. Sharing Kaif’s post again, Bumrah wrote: “Wrong before going wrong again.”

Mohammad Kaif replied
After being called by Bumrah, Kaif responded to the post of India Star on Friday (26 September). Kaif urged Bumrah not to take his message wrongly and also honored him as the biggest match winner of Indian cricket.
Kaif wrote on X, “Please take it as a cricket observation from a well-wisher and a fan. You are the biggest match-winner of Indian cricket and I know what happens to give all this when wearing India’s colors,” Kaif has written on X.

Meanwhile, Bumrah and his India’s companions are currently ready for the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan.
The match is to be played in Dubai on Sunday. Before the final, India will face Sri Lanka on Friday. In Blue, men have already defeated Pakistan twice in the ongoing tournament and are also fancying their opportunities in the final.
