India have struggled for the first time in their ICC T20 World Cup campaign with the defeat against South Africa. Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir, who has been extremely accurate with his predictions so far in this T20 World Cup, has predicted that India will not qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has reached one of the most interesting stages, with teams battling it out to seal the last four spots. Of these, England has secured a place in the semi-finals by winning two consecutive matches and directly entering the semi-finals.
From Group A, South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe and India are all in the race for the playoffs as no one has been eliminated yet. On the other hand, Sri Lanka is out, and Pakistan and South Africa are still in the hunt for the second spot from Group B.
Mohammad Aamir gives India lead against Zimbabwe
Ahead of the India vs Zimbabwe match on February 26, former Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has made a big prediction in favor of India. India have to win this match at any cost and not only that, they will also have to take advantage of the margin of victory to get their net run rate back on track.
Zimbabwe is in good touch with many spinners and wicket-taking fast bowlers, so it will not be an easy task for India. Additionally, the MA Chidambaram Stadium often offers spin-friendly tracks for teams, and because of the dew advantage, chasing is often easier on this track.
When Mohammad Aamir was asked on the Pakistani show “Harna Mana Hai” about his prediction for the match between India and Zimbabwe, he replied, “It will be India.” However, Aamir did not agree to make predictions on the afternoon match between West Indies and South Africa, as he said that both these teams are his favourites.
“Baba Amir” predicts India’s exit from ICC T20 World Cup semi-finals
Mohammad Amir has been making the most accurate predictions on this T20 World Cup and he has not shied away from doing so for almost every important match. Aamir has not given Pakistan even the slightest chance to reach the semi-finals.
Mohammad Aamir, jokingly known as ‘Baba Amir’, said in Pakistan’s famous show ‘Harna Mana Hai’, “India will not be able to qualify for the semi-finals of this T20 World Cup.”

Both India and Pakistan have suffered huge setbacks on their way to the semi-finals.
Both India and Pakistan have not yet been able to qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup semi-finals. India lost their first match to South Africa by a huge margin of 76 runs, resulting in their run rate going down to -3.5.
Pakistan’s first match ended without a result after heavy rain disrupted play and then lost the second match to 2022 ICC World Cup champions England. They will now be yearning for their first win against Sri Lanka in the Super-8 and will also be hoping that England beat the Blackcaps in their final Super-8 match.
