In a major development, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has not given any objection certificate (NOC) to talented top-order batsman Prithvi Shaw to represent another state team in domestic cricket.

Prithvi Shaw is not the only player to leave Mumbai, as two more players – Armaan Jafar and Siddhanta Adatro – have informed MCA about their desire to play for another state team.

Prithvi Shaw leaves Mumbai for further development and development

25 -year -old Shaw, who was considered the next big thing in Indian cricket, has seen a huge decline in his career, and currently, he is struggling a lot.

Last year, he faced a massive shock when Mumbai selectors dropped him from the Ranji Trophy squad due to poor fitness and urged him to follow a fitness program to return to size.

Shaw last played in December 2024 in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in December 2024, and has not played a cricket list in India since the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Indian Express reported that after facing continuous snobs in Mumbai due to no improvement in their fitness, Prithvi Shaw was approached by two to three states earlier this month.

This inspired Shaw to make a bold call to leave Mumbai. He wrote an email to the Mumbai Cricket Association in which he mentioned that representing Mumbai was an honor and a privilege for him, but he wanted to join another professional team to move forward and develop himself into a cricketer.

MCA grants NOC after appointing NOC to Shaw

After sending an email to Shaw, the Mumbai Cricket Association was in a hurry to react officially. In an official statement issued on Monday, June 23, MCA said that without consideration, they have given any objection certificate (NOC) to Prithvi Shaw to No Object Certificate (NOC).

The MCA said in a statement, “The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) would like to inform that cricketer Prithvi Shaw formally requested the No Object Certificate (NOC) to represent another state as a professional player in the upcoming domestic season. After the idea, MCA has approved the NOC.”

In the official statement, MCA Secretary Abhay Hadp appreciated Shaw as an extraordinary talent for his contribution to Mumbai and wished him luck for his future efforts.

Meanwhile, Armaan Jaffer and Siddhanat Adatro have been designed to follow Shaw in leaving Mumbai. According to Cricbuzz, Jaffer and Adatrao will represent Pondicherry in the upcoming season of domestic cricket, where they will also join the Puneet Tadi of Madhya Pradesh.
