Mark Wood Level ‘Big Bat’ made allegations against Rohit Sharma

England National Cricket Team Express Pacer Mark Wood has chosen Bharat National Cricket Team OD Skipper Rohit Sharma, who has bowled as the most difficult batsman.

Mark Wood said that he always felt that the bat used by Rohit Sharma was greater than other batsmen, and it was becoming widespread when he was in form.

Yes, at different stages of my career, I would call Rohit Sharma – Mark Wood

Rohit and Wood have come against each other in international cricket in all three formats. In Test cricket, Wood bowled 105 balls for Rohit Sharma and scored 92 runs rejecting him twice.

In T20I cricket, Rohit scored 24 runs against Wood with 18 balls once out, and once in ODI cricket, Pacer scored 113 runs and rejected India’s skipper twice in 127 balls.

Speaking on ‘The Overlap Cricket’ YouTube channel, Wood highlighted that Rohit is a master of the bridge shot despite being out several times while playing such shots. He said:

“Yes, in different stages of my career, I would say Rohit Sharma. It is difficult because you feel against the small ball, you, for yourself, I have got a chance to take him out, but also that if he is that day, he smokes it. So, he was always difficult. I always felt as if his bat was big, it was just wider.”

Incredible contestant – Mark Wood Hales Virat Kohli

Talking about Virat Kohli, Wood said that he is an incredible contestant, but his weakness of the off-stump can be exploited.

“Kohli, obviously. Any beloved contestant, someone who felt that you have this fourth, fifth stump weakness, pulls it in. We never miss him when I bowl him there. So, it was difficult,” the English pacer said.

Like Rohit, Wood has bowled Kohli in all three formats. In Test and T20I, Kohli has scored 13 runs off 30 balls and scored 46 runs against wood without dismissing. In Odis, Paer of England has rejected Kohli once in 55 balls, maintaining 40 runs.

“I think you’ve found to catch your nerve – Mark Wood on bowling on Rishabh Pants

Mark Wood also admitted that he has found Rishabh Pant very difficult to bowl as he has once dismissed the star wicketkeeper-batsman, while scoring 35 runs in international cricket. Mark Wood said that the pants are quite unexpected, which makes things difficult for the bowlers. He explained in detail:

“I think you’ve caught your nerve. What I will basically say. It’s because I think you are so unexpected that he plays in his hands that he can simply stand there and he waits for anything difficult. But if you have the same one, he can do a good eye, he can find a good eye, he is where he wants, he is like a hit.”

“So, I think you may have a mixture of holding your nerve, which is probably an old ball that is a bit unexpected, whether it is a slow ball or you can actually change with a high bouncer or fast yorker as if something different is.”
