South African all-rounder Marco Johnson hit a no-look six off India’s left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja on the second day of the second Test match (Sunday, November 23) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The right-handed batsman carelessly deposited Jadeja’s ball over the deep midwicket fence.
South Africa started the second day at 247 for 6, with Senuran Muthusamy and Kyle Verreen present at stumps. The batsmen played the first session without losing any wicket. However, in the second session, Jadeja broke the 88-run partnership by dismissing Vereen. Jensen came to the crease at number 8 in the first innings.
Marco Johnson hit a no-look six on Ravindra Jadeja’s ball.
Marco Johnson showed aggression against the Indian spinners from the beginning. On the third ball of the 123rd over of South Africa’s innings, Jensen stepped forward for a full ball, cleared his front foot, and used his long reach to generate enormous power.
The right-handed batsman hit the ball high and straight across the long-on boundary. The shot traveled a distance of approximately 84 metres, suggesting that he intended to bowl early in his innings.

South Africa has strengthened its hold on the second test. Senuran Muthusamy and Kyle Verreen made a partnership of 88 runs for the seventh wicket. Muthusamy converted his start into a composed century, while Marco Jansen scored a half-century.
At the time of writing, the Proteas’ score was 428/7, with Muthusamy (107) and Marco Johnson (51) at the crease. Kuldeep Yadav has been India’s best bowler, taking three wickets amid difficult conditions for the hosts.
Earlier, on the first day, Tristan Stubbs scored 49 runs while captain Temba Bavuma added 41 runs. Openers Aiden Markram (38) and Ryan Rickelton (35) gave a solid start by adding 82 runs.
Already 1-0 up after their 30-run win in Kolkata, South Africa now eye a rare Test series win in India. They have not achieved a series win in India since the 1999/2000 tour.
