The Vaibhav Suryavanshi controversy is not stopping. Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwari has now given Vaibhav Suryavanshi a stern warning after his on-field drama in Sri Lanka and said that the road ahead will not be easy for the 15-year-old batsman.

Everyone is now discussing the incident, and many believe that the young batsman should have handled the situation more calmly, especially at his age and stage of his career. There were even demands for Vaibhav Suryavanshi to fly out of India after a fierce fight on the field in Sri Lanka.

And now Manoj Tiwari warned that this could be the beginning of challenges for the player from Bihar. The former Indian batsman believes that opposition teams will try to target Vaibhav more out of jealousy.
In his strong message to the left-handed batsman, Tiwary said that talented young players often face taunts and mental pressure from opponents, and Vaibhav should learn how to remain calm in such situations. He also urged BCCI to prepare Vaibhav accordingly.
“Vaibhav Suryavanshi has to understand a bit. There will always be verbal battles against us on the pitch, because there are many countries who are jealous of us. So, they will provoke you,” Cricbuzz quoted Manoj Tiwari as saying.
“The way Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s IPL campaign went and the way he is progressing and achieving everything, so they will pounce on him more. The way the 15-year-old kid is progressing, they are jealous of him. So, we have to prepare him for that.”

The cricket pundit also stressed that the youth have to decide what kind of image they want to create in cricket, adding that emotions are not a bad thing but they should be controlled and used in the right way; Otherwise, they will ultimately hurt him and his game.
He further said, “It is up to him what kind of image he wants to create in the cricket world. One way is like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, who are generally calm people; they respond through performance. The other way is like Virat Kohli, who is aggressive. Now he needs to decide how people want to see him. Anger is important, but it is also important to take it in the right direction.”

Tiwari said that Vaibhav should realize what he has done as no one wants to see an emerging player getting involved in ‘dhakka-mukki’. However, he acknowledged that the teenager would understand conduct on the field with experience, but he should not break the rules of the game.
He also feels that whatever is happening around him in the last few days may have affected his focus. Vaibhav has so far scored 117 runs in four matches for India A on the Sri Lanka tour. However, Vaibhav shone in the field by taking a sensational flying catch against Afghanistan A.
Tiwary signed off by saying, “People are watching him, and his behavior will be noticed. He only scored 30-40 runs today, so it’s having an impact on him, because he didn’t score as much as he should have.”
