Mohammed Shami once again hit a four in the very first over of the innings, this time he edged past Sunrisers opener Abhishek Sharma, while Manimaran Siddharth made a sharp jump to his left and took a run out of the air.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started IPL 2026 with early dismissals of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head in their opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore; However, Ishan Kishan managed to get him out of that situation. SRH have started their campaign with a win after 2 matches.

Mohammed Shami was once again successful against the Indian left-handed batsman.

Mohammed Shami deceives Travis Head with another pace-off delivery
Mohammed Shami comes into this IPL after a big, successful domestic season, where the Bengal pacer has featured in all three formats of the game. Shami had performed well in domestic cricket and has continued the same in the IPL.
He returned with his second over and deceived fellow SRH opener Travis Head. Shami bowled another slower ball and Travis Head was deceived as he departed early with the drive. The catch was successfully completed by Aiden Markram.
