Young Indian spin all-rounder Manav Suthar has now earned a short-term contract, just days after making a dream Test debut for India. The left-arm spinner is all set to join Warwickshire County Cricket Club in the ongoing County Championship.

On Wednesday, 10 June, Warwickshire County Cricket Club announced the signing of Suthar in the midst of the ongoing County Championship. Suthar impressed everyone with his historic debut Test performance against Afghanistan in New Chandigarh.

Left-arm spinner Manav Suthar destroyed Afghanistan’s batting by taking six wickets for just 33 runs in the first innings and then took another wicket in the second innings to play a key role in India’s 130-run win in the only Test.

Before making his India debut, Suthar’s first-class record was impressive, having already taken 129 wickets in just 29 games. Now, the talented spinner has another big chance to prove himself in English conditions. Warwickshire have signed a short-term contract with Suthar to strengthen their campaign in the County Championship.
He will be available for the next two rounds of the competition.
