Sri Lanka spinner Mahesh Thekshana continued the unfortunate form of Indian opener Shubman Gill in the Asia Cup after taking a full blunder of a return catch to get the first success for Sri Lanka.
India is playing against Sri Lanka in its previous Super -4 game, although they are already through the finals, and Lanka has been dropped after two early deficit. India will take Pakistan to their staunch rivals in the final of the Asia Cup 2025.

After missing the last three series, India’s opener Shubman Gill has returned to the Indian T20I side in this Asia Cup. However, his return has not marked any major impact, as the best score of 47 in this tournament came against Pakistan in Super -4 stability.
Gill continued his bad form in the Asia Cup, as after being sent back for just 4 runs against Sri Lanka. He killed spinner Mahesh Thekshana for a border, but then delivered back to the bowler. Theekshana caught a completely surprising catching the batsman to its left, which surprised the batsman.
