With this dismissal, Nabi overtook wicketkeeper-batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who had set an unwanted record with eight ducks in the first T20I. The milestone came when Nabi bowled Blessing Muzarabani early in Afghanistan’s innings.
While this record may not be worth celebrating, Nabi’s contribution to Afghanistan cricket is monumental. With over 140 T20I appearances, the all-rounder has been a cornerstone of the team since his early international days, contributing with both bat and ball across all formats.
Nabi’s latest achievement now puts him at the top of an unlikely list that includes some of Afghanistan’s biggest names.

Despite Nabi’s failure, Afghanistan’s batting dominates Zimbabwe.
Nabi’s early dismissal did not derail Afghanistan’s innings as Ibrahim Zadran led the batting with a brilliant 52 off 33 balls with six fours and a six. His fluent knock set the tone Competitive total score of 180/6 in 20 overs,

In reply, Zimbabwe faltered under sustained pressure and were all out for 127 in 16.1 overs. Only Tinotenda Maphosa put up resistance and scored 32 runs in 15 balls with the help of five fours.
Apart from him, Brian Bennett (24), Brad Evans (24), Tony Munyonga (20) and Tshinga Musekiwa (16) were the only Zimbabwe batsmen to reach double figures.
Afghanistan’s bowlers were in excellent form under the leadership of Fazalhaq Farooqui Rehman, who bowled a brilliant spell of 4/20. Azmatullah Umarzai also impressed with 3/29, while Abdullah Ahmadzai produced a brilliant bowling performance, taking two wickets.
