Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has handed over the ODI and T20I captaincy to Kusal Mendis for the series against West Indies starting from June 3. Sri Lanka will take on West Indies in the all-format series. Whereas Kusal Mendis Dhananjay de Silva has been appointed captain of the Test team, who will lead the team in the ODI and T20 series.

The island nation will face the Caribbean national team for a 3-match ODI series (June 3-8), followed by a three-match T20I series (June 12-15). The bilateral series will be concluded through a two-match Test series, which will be held between June 25 and July 7. For the series, the Sri Lankan team will leave for the West Indies tomorrow, May 26.
