The India National cricket team is currently ready for the fourth Test against England, which is starting at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester on 23 July. Earlier there were reports that India would face England with the XI who plays unchanged in the Must-win Clash in Manchester.
But now it has been confirmed that the Indian cricket team will make some changes in the XI of playing for their fourth Test match against England in Manchester. There are concerns of several injuries in the Indian camp that allegedly forced the team management to reconsider their plans.
Injuries forced India to reconsider the strategy before the Manchester Test
The biggest concern is around India’s vice-captain and wicketkeeper-boss Rishabh Pant. The left -handed batsman is fit to bat, but is not fully fit to take wickets for five days. Therefore, the Indian cricket team is thinking of playing Dhruv Juraral as a wicketkeeper.

In fact, as a precaution, the Indian cricket team management is allegedly considering playing the role of Dhruv Jurall in place of Rishabh Pant in the fourth Test against England in Manchester. But Jurall disappointed everyone from his job behind stumps at Lord’s and gave 36 left in two innings during the Indian team’s 22 -run defeat against England.
Nevertheless, Jurall is likely to be selected for the du-or-dai encounter, but he will come in place of the struggling batter Karun Nair, according to a report in Cricblogger. If the jurall cuts, the playing XI will have three wicket-keyspers, in which KL Rahul will also be able to do wicket-keeping. Rahul took wickets in South Africa last year, and he can do so in Manchester as well.
Will KL Rahul play as a wicketkeeper?
Playing the role of Rahul as a wicketkeeper will provide India a great opportunity to play an additional batsman, either Abhimanyu Ishvaran or Sai Sudarshan.
Meanwhile, the bowling department also has trouble. Akash Deep is nursing on a waist injury, and the team does not want to take risks with him. Arshdeep Singh also suffered a hand injury. They can change the in-form Akash with another fast bowler like Prasad Krishna.

Kuldeep Yadav is likely to play in the fourth Test
But now, the Indian cricket team is thinking of playing the role of Kuldeep Yadav, a left -handed spinner in the Manchester Test against England. If the Old Trafford Cricket Ground Pitch Match helps spinners in spinners later, Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion may be a game-changer for India.
On the other hand, as reported by The Times of India, Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep Anderson-Tendulkar will not play together in the final two tests of the trophy. If Bumrah plays a fourth test in Manchester, Akash Deep will be rested. In the final test in the oval, they will swap the roles, the sky is likely to return and Bumrah is probably sitting outside.
This is part of India’s strategy to manage the charge of rotation bowlers, especially with a long series pressure. India has also included Haryana’s fast bowler Ansul Kamboj in the squad as a backup.
