Kuldeep Yadav gives it back in style after being mocked by Ravichandran Ashwin publically

A day after starring in India’s thumping 4-1 win over England in the five-match Test series, star spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav were engaged in an online banter with each other. It all started when Kuldeep Yadav shared his views on the game between Liverpool and Manchester City on Sunday night (March 10). The left-arm spinner’s love for football is well known and he never shies away from expressing his opinion about the game.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kuldeep Yadav praised the bold and brave tactics of both teams, writing: “I love this highline. Not afraid of anything 👍🏻” For those who don’t know, a high line in football refers to the tactic in which the defensive line of a team stays higher up on the pitch. It helps the teams to reduce space for the opposition attackers.

Ravichandran Ashwin noticed the post from his younger India teammate and decided to react to it. The Tamil Nadu ace pulled Kuldeep’s legs by writing: “Dey football manager” followed by a series of laughing emojis. Kuldeep did not take long to respond to Ashwin’s comment as he wrote: “Won’t mind coming to your show to talk about this beautiful game 😊 Ash bhai”

Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravichandran Ashwin star in Dharamsala:

While Kuldeep picked up five wickets in the first innings, Ashwin picked up the same number of wickets in the second innings as India thrashed England by an innings and 64 runs to complete a 4-1 series triumph.

Kuldeep was adjudged the Player of the Match for his stunning show in the first innings that helped India bowl out England for 218 runs. He finished the series with 19 wickets from 4 games and also played some crucial knocks with the bat.

On the other hand, Ashwin finished the series as the highest wicket-taker. In 5 Tests, he picked up 26 wickets. During the series, he also reached 500 Test wickets and became only the second Indian after the legendary Anil Kumble to achieve the feat.
