Kuldeep Yadav baffles Mitchell Starc with a sensational googly in Sydney ODI

Kuldeep Yadav finally got a chance in India’s playing eleven in the ongoing third ODI match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The left-arm spinner was not included in the playing eleven for the first two matches. In his absence, India struggled with the ball and lost both games to clinch the series.

Kuldeep Yadav’s performance against Australia was good

With the series already decided, the Indian team management finally decided to recall Kuldeep Yadav back into the team. He started well with the ball and gave away 11 runs in his first two overs. However, he conceded 16 runs in his next two overs and was dropped from the attack.

Captain Shubman Gill brought him back into attack in the 28th over and Kuldeep gave 5 runs in his 5th over. He gave 45 runs in his first 7 overs without taking any wicket.

Kuldeep Yadav surrounds Mitchell Starc:

Kuldeep Yadav finally took his first wicket of the match by clean bowling Mitchell Starc in his 8th over. He completely dodged the Australian star and gave India an important wicket. It was a googly and Starc failed to catch it. The ball fell on the middle stump and spun rapidly and hit the stump. Starc looked to punch the ball straight but was completely beaten on the inside edge.

Starc was out for 2 runs off 5 balls as Australia was reduced to 201/7. The hosts’ score at one stage was 195/4 before Matt Renshaw was dismissed. Washington Sundar dismissed Renshaw for 56 before Harshit Rana sent back Mitch Owen for 1.

At the time of writing this report, Australia were at 224/8 after 45 overs with Cooper Connolly and Adam Zampa out. Connolly had scored a brilliant half-century in the last match and he would like to take his team to a competitive score in the current match as well.
