Kuldeep Yadav abuses Dhruv Jurel after being deprived of 5-fers in Delhi Test

India’s left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav was unimpressed by wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel’s gloves on the third day of the second Test against West Indies (Sunday, October 22). Kuldeep used abusive language against Jurel after he failed to test a catch behind the stumps at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Kuldeep made an early impact on the third day, dismissing Shai Hope for 36 and Tevin Imlach for 21 within the first hour of play. The wrist spinner continued his dominance by trapping Justin Greaves in front of the stumps. This was his fourth wicket in the current match, he had taken the wicket of Alik Athanaz for 41 runs on the second day.

Kuldeep Yadav was disappointed when Dhruv Jurel missed the chance to take a catch, depriving him of a five-wicket haul. This incident happened on the third ball of the 58th over.

Kuldeep bowled a googly down the leg side, which the batsman attempted to sweep, narrowly missing Anderson Phillip’s glove. The ball bounced into the air, but Jurel seemed unaware of the deflection, he could not react quickly enough to catch it, reducing the chance of it falling in front of him.

The left-arm spinner used some words towards Jurel after the dropped catch and the video caught the attention of the cricket community.
